I am a life-long Albuquerque resident.
I attended the University of New Mexico, obtaining a BA, MBA and JD degrees.
I am a licensed attorney.
I was in private practice for several years, representing state and other government entities.
In 2001, I went to work for the United States Department of Justice as a federal prosecutor in Albuquerque. I retired after forty felony jury trials and 200 appellate cases.
For almost twenty years, I investigated and prosecuted a range of criminal conduct, including white collar offenses, narcotics offenses and violent crime. I am familiar with techniques used by many federal law enforcement agencies.
I am a Certified Fraud Examiner. The CFE exam tests knowledge of all aspects of white-collar crime from financial statement fraud to theft of intellectual property
I am an ASIS International Board Certified Professional Investigator. The ASIS exam tests investigative skills, including case development, handling of evidence, courtroom presentation of evidence and case management.
I am a Certified Forensic Interviewer. The CFI exam tests all aspects of the interview process, including interrogation techniques.
I am firearms certified to carry a 9mm pistol while on duty.
